De Jesus Selected For Portuguese National Team Camp

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—CSUN women's basketball player Ana Carolina De Jesus has been selected for the upcoming Portuguese National Team Camp to select the team that will play in the 2023 FISU World University Games.
Training camp for the 26 finalists for the 2023 FISU World University Games begins on June 27, with competition running from July 28-Aug. 8 in Chengdu, China. De Jesus is only 1-of-3 college players invited to the training camp.
De Jesus posted her first double-double against CSU Bakersfield in the first round of the Big West Championships with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The 6-3 forward also charted season bests against CSUB on Mar. 7 in made field goals (6), field goal attempts (12), assists (2), and minutes played (37). De Jesus started five of 31 appearances, averaging 3.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 13.8 minutes per game. She made 49-of-122 field goal attempts (40.2%) in 2022-23, charting 14 assists, 14 steals, and seven blocks.
