
CSUN Men's Soccer Posts Two on Academic All-District Team

2024 Academic All-District Men's Soccer Teams
NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN Men's Soccer's juniors Jake Shaked and Eyifehn Forfor each earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.
The CSC academic awards program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on and off the field each year. The academic qualifications for the distinction are a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average. Nominated student-athletes must be a sophomore academically and must have participated in at least 90 percent of the team's games this season or start 66 percent of the time.
A defender from Wannanup, Western Australia, Shaked helped anchor the Matador defense in his first season with the Matadors. Shaked started all 17 matches, playing in 1,519 of 1,530 possible minutes on the field. He totaled one goal, two points and eight shots with three on goal for the year. His lone goal of the season would be a game winner in a 2-1 victory over Santa Clara on Sept. 22. Shaked helped the Matadors hold opponents to one goal or fewer in 11 total matches, highlighted by a pair of shutouts.
Shaked is currently majoring in Economics with CSUN. He joined the Matadors in the Spring of 2024 and has already been recognized on the Big West Commissioner's Honor Roll with CSUN.
Forfor also made his CSUN debut in 2024. Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Forfor appeared in 16 of 17 matches and made four starts at forward on the year. He totaled eight shots with three on goal while racking up 590 minutes on the field. Seven of his eight shots came in Big West play as he played a season-high 73 minutes as a starter at Cal State Bakersfield this season.
Forfor also joined the Matadors last Spring. A Kinesiology major with an emphasis in Sports Studies, Forfor was honored as well on the 2023-24 Big West Commissioner's Honor Roll with CSUN.
College Sports Communicators began the distinguished Academic All-America program in 1952, and since then, has honored more than 38,000 deserving student-athletes from numerous sports across all division with these elite Academic All-America scholar-athletes honors.
