NORTHRIDGE, Calif -- CSUN Women's Basketball graduate student Nnenna Orji earned an All-Big West Honorable Mention for the 2024-25 season, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Â
Orji is coming off a great all-around season for the Matadors in her first and final season at CSUN. For the whole season, she averaged 7.9 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and accumulated 21 steals and 11 blocks. Her season high in scoring was against UC Riverside on March 6, tallying 22 points in overtime.Â
Â
The graduate student from Rancho Cucamonga really turned it on in the latter half of the 2024-25 campaign. In the thirteen games since Jan. 23, she averaged 12 PPG and scored in double-figures in 11 out of those 13 games played. She started in all of the final 14 games played, becoming an offensive threat in the low post. She also tallied a double-double on Feb. 22 versus UC Davis where she scored 11 points and brought down 10 rebounds. In the final game of the season against her old school in Hawai'i, Orji led the Matadors in scoring with 15 points, going six out of 14 from the field.

Â
"I've known and recruited Nnenna since she was 16 years old, who was once very soft spoken has grown into a very confident and demure young woman," said head coach Angie Ned on Senior Night on March 6. "Nnenna brings a presence and enjoys making others laugh. I am excited to see her excel as the next real estate guru."
