Tanoue Tied for Fourth After 2nd Round 68 at Fresno State Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - Sophomore Nicole Tanoue fired a season-low 4-under 68 in round two to move into a tie for fourth after 36 holes of the Fresno State Classic. As a team, the Matadors are in third place through two rounds at 21-over 597.

- Tanoue opened the day with two birdies and six bogeys to finish the round at 4-over 76. She then added five birdies and a single bogey in a blistering round of 4-under 68 in the afternoon. At even-par 144, Tanoue heads into the final round four shots back of UC Riverside's Mitzi Duarte who finished Monday at 4-under 140.
- In addition to Tanoue, three other CSUN players are in the top 20. Freshman Ariya Soldwisch is tied for 11th at 6-over 150 after posting a pair of birdies in each of the opening two rounds. Soldwisch recorded a 2-over 74 in round one and a 4-over 76 in round two.
- Junior Gracie Piar is tied for 14th at 7-over 151 following rounds of 77-75. Piar had one birdie in a 4-over 76 in round one, before notching five birdies in a 3-over 75 in the afternoon.
- Junior Kim Turgut is one shot back of Piar, in 18th at 8-over 152. Turgut also posted two birdies in each round, finishing each round at 4-over 76.
- Freshman Meghan Paracuelles rounded out the CSUN scoring, finishing with rounds of 86-78 which is 42nd at 20-over 164.
- Ellie Shirley, competing as an individual, is 44th at 28-over 172 after posting scores of 83-89.
