Two Matadors in the Top 20 at Oregon State Invitational

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Bryson Barnes and Ethan Posthumus each finished in the individual top 20 to pace the CSUN Men's Golf team to a seventh-place finish at the Oregon State Invitational on Tuesday at Trysting Tree Golf Course.
Barnes tied for 12th for his first top 20 finish of the season. while Posthumus tied for 19th. Barnes had three birdies in the final round after notching nine over two rounds on Monday. Barnes got his round as low as 1-under after a three straight birdies at No. 13-15. He then finished his final eight holes at 1-over to finish the day at even-par 71 and the tournament at 3-under 210 (70-69-71).
Posthumus had three birdies, two bogeys, and one double bogey in the final round to finish the day at 1-over 72 which left him tied for 19th at 1-under 212 (71-69-72).
As a team, CSUN followed up rounds of 1-under 283 and 4-under 280 with a 1-over 285 on Tuesday to finish seventh in the 12-team event at 4-under 848. Oregon won the team title at 17-under 835, while Boise State's Reese Knox captured individual medalist honors at 9-under 204.

- Freddie Carcamo posted rounds of 69-71-76, Liam Judkins posted rounds of 73-71-72, and Tavin Boman finished with scores of 74-72-70.
