Tanoue Tied for First to Pace CSUN at Soboba Classic

SAN JACINTO, Calif. - Junior Nicole Tanoue fired an even-par 72 and is tied for first, while the CSUN Women's Golf team is second after the opening round of the Soboba Spring Classic on Wednesday at the Country Club at Soboba Springs.
As a team, the Matadors carded a round of 24-over 312 and are two shots behind team-leading Fresno State after 18 holes. Tanoue, who fired four birdies in round one, is tied with Fresno State's Vunnisa Vu atop the leaderboard after one round.
CSUN's Gracie Piar is also in the top 10 after one round, carding one birdie and 12 pars in a round of 5-over 77. Piar heads into Thursday's second round tied for sixth place.

- Ariya Soldwisch is tied for 23rd at 10-over 82.
- Sophie Cook rounded out the CSUN scoring as she is tied for 46th 15-over 87.
