Liam Judkins Named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar

Cobalt GCAA All-America Scholars
NORMAN, Okla. — CSUN Men's Golf student-athlete Liam Judkins was named a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar as the Golf Coaches Association of America announced its NCAA Division I recipients on Monday.
Judkins represented CSUN for the first time, as he becomes the 11th Matador to earn the distinction in recent years.
"Liam is such a great example of what a student-athlete should be," said CSUN head coach Jim Bracken. "He's one of our team leaders and is a great role model for the other guys on our team. Liam struggled a bit last year with injuries, but we're expecting him to come back stronger this year."
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
649 NCAA Division I athletes from 210 schools earned 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors. Delaware, East Carolina, and Lamar tied for the most recipients from one school in NCAA Division I with six.
Judkins finished the 2025-26 season with one top 10 finish and a 75.11 scoring average. He tied for third at the Air Force Silver Invitational in September, finishing at 9-under 208 with rounds of 70-68-70.
In 2022-23, CSUN had a program-high five recipients in seniors Paul-Louis Gachet, Brandon McDonough, Felix Schrott and Eirik Thomassen, along with sophomore Nick Fowlkes. The five honorees exceeded the four CSUN student-athletes who received recognition in 2021-22, when Gachet, McDonough, Schrott and Thomassen were honored.
