CSUN Releases 2026-27 Women's Basketball Schedule

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN head women's basketball coach Angie Ned has announced the Matadors' 2026-27 schedule, featuring 15 games in Northridge at Premier America Credit Union Arena. CSUN is scheduled to meet nine teams that had winning records in 2025-26, including three NCAA tournament teams.
"We're excited about the opportunity this schedule presents and the challenges that will prepare us for conference play," Coach Ned said. Our focus this season is on continuing to build our program through consistency, competitiveness, and playing connected on both ends of the floor. We have a great group of young women who have worked hard, embraced our standards, and are hungry to compete. We're looking forward to representing CSUN with pride and taking another step forward as a program."
The Matadors kick off the new season with a home contest against La Sierra on Nov. 3 at 6:00 p.m. Both of these teams last faced off in the season opener of the 2024-25 campaign, with CSUN getting the upper hand, 70-56 for coach Ned's first career win.
Then, CSUN hits the road for its first two games away from Northridge on Nov. 10 against Boise State and on Nov. 14 versus San Diego.
CSUN will then return home to host San Diego State at Premier America Credit Union Arena on Nov. 19 at 6:00 p.m.
After playing the Aztecs, the Matadors will embark on their second longest road trip of the year where they will play St. Thomas (MN) on Nov. 27 and Idaho on Nov. 28 as a part of the California Baptist Thanksgiving Tournament.
Big West play starts with a matchup in San Luis Obispo against Cal Poly on Dec. 3 at 6:00 p.m. CSUN won both contests against the Mustangs in 2025-26.
CSUN will then return home for its longest homestand of the season where the Matadors will be on their home court for almost a full month from Dec. 5 to Jan. 2.
CSUN plays Cal State Bakersfield on Dec. 5, Westcliff University on Dec. 10, and will play its final non-conference game against New Mexico State on Dec. 19 at 1:00 p.m.
Big West play continues on New Year's Eve with a showdown against new Big West opponent, Sacramento State at 1:00 p.m. The Matadors will close out the homestand with a matchup versus another new Big West opponent, Utah Valley on Jan. 2 at 2:00 p.m.
On Jan. 7, CSUN hits the road again to face California Baptist. Coach Ned previously served as an assistant coach at CBU prior to joining the Matadors.
March 10 will be the start of the 2027 Big West Championship presented by Credit Union 1 in Henderson, Nev.
2025-26 saw the first postseason appearance for the Matadors under coach Ned, and CSUN will be looking to build from last year with continued post season play.
