Matador Soccer Field is the home venue for the CSUN Men's and Women's Soccer teams. The facility began operation at the start of the 2002 season when both teams relocated from North Campus Stadium, which had served as CSUN's home field since 1978. The first match at Matador Soccer Field was held on Sept. 15, 2002, when the CSUN men's team defeated visiting Fresno State, 2-0.
The official capacity for the 2025 season is 500, with bleachers lining the west side of the field. Player benches are located on the east side, and the field also features a concession stand at the main entrance. The largest crowd in the venue's history came on Sept. 22, 2013 as a standing-room-only crowd of more than 2,300 watched the No. 3 Matadors face off against cross-town rival No. 11 UCLA.
Although nighttime soccer was a fixture at North Campus Stadium, the 2010 season marked the debut of lights at Matador Soccer Field. The men's and women's teams hosted seven home games under the lights that season.
Matador Soccer Field is located south of Matador Diamond and west of the Matador Tennis Complex. Parking for CSUN soccer matches is available in both the G6 Parking Structure and in surface Lot F5.
