A Los Angeles native, Dr. Eric Sletten earned his bachelor's degree from UC Irvine and then went on to medical school at UC San Francisco School of Medicine. After earning his medical degree, he returned to Southern California, completing his residency at the Ventura County Medical Center in affiliation with the UCLA School of Medicine Division of Family Medicine. Following his residency, he completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at VCMC and UCLA and earned a Certificate of Added Qualification from the American College of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Sletten has served as the Team Physician for CSUN since 1991 in addition to serving as the Director of the Sports Medicine Clinic at the Addie Klotz Student Health Center where any of 35,000 students may be treated. Dr. Sletten recently expanded his practice as a Defeat Autism Now (DAN) Practitioner with the opening of the Sletten Wellness Medical Center in Ventura, CA.

Domenick J. Sisto, MD Team Physician |
Dr. Domenick Sisto began working with the CSUN Sports Medicine program in 1998 and currently practices at the Los Angeles Orthopedic Institute in Sherman Oaks, Calif. An East Coast native, Dr. Sisto earned his bachelor's of science degree at the University of Vermont and then went into medical school at George Washington University Medical School. Dr. Sisto's post-doctoral training is very expansive, locally including a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic.
As the Team Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Sisto cares for the 300-plus NCAA Division I student-athletes at CSUN. Dr. Sisto provides two Fellow Orthopedic Surgeons to assist with the various related orthopedic injuries. He plays an active role within the athletic community in Southern California.

Mandeep Ghuman, M.D. Program Director, PCSM Fellowship Family Medicine Residency Program California State University, Northridge |
Dr. Ghuman is the Program Director for Northridge's PCSM Fellowship along with being the faculty coordinator for Sports Medicine for the Dignity Health Family Medicine Residency Program at Northridge Hospital. He was born and raised in Southern California, and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati's College Of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency training at Tacoma Family Medicine in Washington State. Following residency, he pursued a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the combined UC Davis/UC Berkeley program.
Dr. Ghuman is board-certified in Family Medicine and holds a CAQ in Primary Care Sports Medicine. He is an active member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and is a diplomat in the American Academy of Family Medicine. He currently serves as a Team Physician for CSUN and James Monroe High School.

Dr. Melodie Daniels, PT, DPT, MS, RYT Team Physical Therapist |
Dr. Melodie Daniels, PT, DPT, MS, RYT received her undergraduate in kinesiology from San Diego State University, then went on to earn her Master's in Sports Performance from Point Loma Nazarene University before earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California.
Along the way, Dr. Daniels has worked as a personal trainer, was a strength and conditioning coach for the Point Loma Nazarene athletes, has taught in both undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and has an extensive history working with professional athletes in track and field, football, and basketball. Dr. Daniels is passionate about working to fix the "why" behind the "what" and helping patients find holistic and long-term injury relief. As a performance PT, Dr. Daniels strives to challenge her patients and ensure that they are 100% ready for the activities they hope to go back to. Outside of PT, Dr. Daniels is a pianist, runner, and yoga instructor.

Dr. Brian Gordon earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic at the Southern California University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles - an institution highly regarded for its commitment to evidence-based care and research. Following his doctorate, he went on to earn his Master in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Emperor's College. This makes Dr. Gordon unique as he is both an acupuncturist and a chiropractor.
Dr. Gordon established the Active Care Spine Center in 2005 where he specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Throughout his career, Dr. Gordon has worked with professional athletes from the NBA, NFL, NHL, and international soccer, as well as professional dancers who tour with artists such as Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Pink, Katy Perry, and the Bolshoi Ballet. He has been the team chiropractor for the Los Angeles Valley College athletics program since 2005 and the team chiropractor for CSUN athletics since 2025.
As a San Fernando Valley native, Dr. Gordon is proud to be providing healthcare to the community he grew up in. When he is not serving as director of the Active Care Spine Center he enjoys spending time with his wife Caroline and his daughter Mahlia; cooking, hiking, backpacking, reading, playing hockey, listening to live music, and playing his bass guitar.

Dr. Jacob Jensen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at CSUN, where he teaches courses in sport psychology, psychology of injury, and imagery/visualization.
Dr. Jensen has been teaching at CSUN since 2014 and was hired by Matador Athletics as the sport psychology consultant for student-athletes in the fall of 2023. He works with individual student-athletes, teams, and coaches on a variety of topics, including mindfulness, accountability, resiliency, and self-care.
Dr. Jensen received his PhD from the University of Tennessee and completed his dissertation research on NCAA collegiate tennis players transitioning to the professional tour. He is currently continuing this line of research during his teaching sabbatical for 2023-2024. Dr Jensen also conducts research in the areas of mindfulness, anxiety reduction, and applied interventions in sport and performance psychology. He has published and presented his research both nationally and internationally. He co-hosts a regular podcast on Power985.com radio highlighting aspects of his work as a sport and performance psychology consultant.
Dr. Jensen has been a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology since 2013 and mentors graduate students seeking CMPC certification. He also has a private practice outside of CSUN in which he consults with individuals from a variety of sport and performance settings.
As a former NCAA tennis player, Dr. Jensen continues to play tennis 4-5 times a week and is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation in the United States Tennis Association Senior Mother/Son Division, having won a gold ball last year at the San Diego Hard Court National Championships. He also loves spending his spare time at his tennis condo at the World Tennis Center in Naples, Fla. and loves riding his bike, kayaking, and enjoying nature.
