Zach Feldman was promoted to associate head coach of the men's soccer team in 2017 after serving eight years on the coaching staff and begins his third season in the role in the Fall of 2019. Prior to becoming the team's associate head coach, Feldman was an assistant coach for four seasons and a volunteer assistant coach for another four years.
With Feldman on the sidelines, the Matadors have made three NCAA Tournament appearances including hosting matches each year. CSUN also won the Big West Tournament titles in 2012 and 2016 and the Big West South Division title in his final season as an assistant.
Feldman was a four-year starter for head coach Terry Davila from 2001-2005, making four NCAA appearances. He was a team captain in 2004 and 2005, leading the Matadors to a Sweet Sixteen berth in the NCAA College Cup during his senior campaign. Prior to playing for CSUN, Feldman laced up for the Conquistadors of El Camino Real High School, winning City Championships in 1999 and 2001, being named the L.A. City Player of the Year by both the Daily News and Los Angeles Times as a senior.
In addition to his time spent as an assistant at CSUN, Feldman is a coach with Real SoCal Soccer Club for the Boys Under-9 team. He is also a head trainer with the US Academy U-18 squad and is the head coach for L.A. Maccabi Soccer. Prior to that, Feldman was the director of recreation for Rampage Futbol Club for two seasons for the Girls U-15 and -10 teams and the Boys U-10 and -9 squads.
Feldman coached the California Stars Soccer Club from 2005-2007, working primarily with the Girls Under-16 and Boys Under-15 teams. He was also an assistant coach for the girls' varsity squad at El Camino Real High School, helping lead the Conquistadors to back-to-back City Championships in 2005 and 2006.
Feldman graduated from CSUN with a bachelor's degree in communication studies.
