Travis Magorien begins his second season as an assistant coach for the Matadors in 2017.
Magorien, who also was a volunteer assistant for the CSUN women's volleyball team in fall of 2015, was a four-year letterwinner for the Matadors as a setter from 2012-15. He ranks seventh in CSUN history with 2,911 career assists.
He played in 102 career matches and 345 sets in his CSUN career. Magorien also had 72 aces, 351 digs and 164 blocks as a Matador. He dished out a career-high 58 assists in CSUN's 3-1 win over ninth-ranked UCLA in 2014.
A native of Agoura Hills, Magorien was a three-time letterwinner at Westlake High School in Westlake Village, Calif. He was an All-American as well as a Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection as a senior in 2011. Magorien also earned Ventura County Star Player of the Year honors in addition to Marmonte League MVP.
He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business from CSUN in 2015.
