Jill Painter Lopez begins her fifth full season as the voice of the CSUN Women’s Basketball team in 2026-27. Painter Lopez began calling Matador Women's Basketball games midway through the 2021-22 campaign and has called CSUN home games ever since.
Painter Lopez is also a veteran sports reporter in Los Angeles for CBS2/KCAL9. She is a former LA Daily News sports reporter and columnist. While at the Daily News, she covered the CSUN Men’s Basketball and CSUN Football programs on a regular basis. She previously worked for Bally Sports West and was named the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Reporter of the Year in 2019.
Painter Lopez resides in West Hills.
