Josh Ho-Lopez joined CSUN Athletics in September, 2023 as the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance.
In his role, Ho-Lopez is responsible of all daily athletics compliance operations and rules education efforts and on all rules infractions investigations and reporting. He is currently a member of the National Association of Athletics Compliance Coordinators (NAAC).
Ho-Lopez previously worked as a Director of Athletics at private coeducational secondary school operated by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. In that role, he was responsible in providing leadership in all athletics, academic and business matters, and enhancing student-athlete well-being and academic success.
Prior to joining the CSUN staff in 2023, Ho-Lopez served as an athletics compliance officer, most recently at the University of Oklahoma, as well as the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, and the University of Washington.
A Southern California native, Ho-Lopez began his studies at East Los Angeles College and then transferred to California Baptist University, where he earned his bachelor's degree, and later earned his master's degree in sports law and business from Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. During his undergraduate studies, he was also a student-athlete who wrestled competitively at the JUCO and NCAA DII level, respectively.
