Cynthia Rosas concluded her second season as an assistant coach to the women's soccer team. Her primary duties include working with the team's goalkeeping and defense.

With Rosas on the sidelines, the Matadors earned their first regular season Big West crown in team history in 2016 and advanced to the Big West Tournament Championship match in 2017. Over the past two seasons, the Matadors have totaled 23 shutouts including 15 in 2016. She has coached Jovani McCaskill to back-to-back Big West Goalkeeper of the Year awards over that span.

In 2016, Rosas coached Jovani McCaskill to a team record 14 individual shutouts and the second-lowest single-season goals-against-average in team history (0.40).

Rosas left a lasting imprint in the history of the women's soccer program after a stellar four-year career from 2009-2012. An owner of numerous Matador all-time records, Rosas earned 33 career wins in goal for the Matadors, helping lead CSUN to both its first Big West Conference Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2012.

She is the Matador leader in career minutes in goal (6,059), goals-against-average (0.80), shutouts (27.0) and wins while also ranking third in saves (282). Rosas also holds several all-time season records including posting the most minutes in goal (2,034) and shuouts (11.0) in a season (2012). Her 0.30 goals-against-average in 2009 is also the the lowest GAA of any Matador in a single season in team history.

Along with her stellar play on the pitch, Rosas notched several awards as a Matador. A 2009 Big West Conference Freshman of the Year, she also took home the conference's Goalkeeper of the Year honor in 2011 and 2012. Rosas received an inclusion on the Big West All-Conference team in each season in a Matador uniform including First Team accolades as a junior and senior.

Following her senior campaign, Rosas earned a NSCAA All-West Region First Team nod. Only one of eight CSUN student-athletes all-time to receive inclusion on the team, Rosas owns the distinction of being the only Matador in team history to boast a first team honor.

Originally from Granada Hills, CA, she has made several coaching stops across Southern California. Since 2013, Rosas has coached at Oakwood Secondary School in Los Angeles, CA, with the middle school and high school teams both as an assistant and a goalkeeping coach.

She also has gained club soccer coaching experience over the past three years. Rosas served as an assistant for both the boys U11 and U17 teams with Futbol Club Los Angeles, working with the teams' goalkeepers. Since February, she has coached with the Simi Valley Eclipse Soccer Club, working with the U19 women's soccer team.

Rosas served as an assistant coach at Granada Hills High School from 2009-2010 and as a varsity head coach at Los Angeles Baptist Middle School in North Hills, CA, from 2010-2011.

After completing her collegiate career with CSUN, Rosas earned her bachelor's degree in sociology, majoring in criminal justice in 2013.
