Maggie Sundberg-Negron

Maggie Sundberg-Negron was inducted into the CSUN Athletics Hall of Fame in 1987. Sundberg-Negron is a legendary collegiate swimmer for CSUN and head coach Pete Accardy from 1979 to 1982.
Sundberg-Negron is a two-time All-American selection in her career and was a key swimmer on the historic 1982 NCAA Division II Championship team. She was also named CSUN's Most Valuable Player in 1980 and served as a co-captain for the CSUN women's swimming team.
She set multiple records for the Matadors and was a national finalist in six different events during the 1982 NCAA championships. Sundberg-Negron earned All-American honors in four events in 1982, placing third in the 200 breaststroke, fourth in the 100 breaststroke, sixth in the 50 breaststroke, and 10th in the 100 individual medley.
Sundberg-Negron graduated from CSUN in 1982.
