ABOUT LAST WEEK
CSUN officially began the 2026 season last week on the road as the Matadors were shut out twice. Boise State handed CSUN a 3-0 loss in the 2026 opener on Aug. 12, behind a pair of first-half goals. The Broncos outshot the Matadors 19-3 in the match while holding a 9-1 edge in shots on goal. Last Saturday, the Matadors would keep pace with Idaho, but a 25th minute goal from the Vandals was the difference in a 1-0 decision. CSUN saw 10 shots from the Vandals in the second half, however, neither attempt would hit the back of the net.Â
