Michele McAnany was inducted into the CSUN Athletics Hall of Fame in 1991.

McAnany was a vital infielder and third baseman on three consecutive NCAA Division II National Championship teams (1983, 1984, and 1985) under Hall of Fame coach Gary Torgeson.
McAnany earned All-American honors twice (including First-Team honors in 1985) and was a three-time All-Region selection. Upon completing her college career, she set five individual season and career records at CSUN. She also ranks highly in the conference record books with 63 career sacrifice hits.
Following her historic softball run at CSUN, McAnany transitioned to baseball and became a true trailblazer. In 1994, she made the roster of the Colorado Silver Bullets, an all-women professional baseball team that barnstormed across the country playing against men's semi-pro and minor league teams. As the team's primary second baseman and lead-off hitter, she recorded the first-ever hit in Silver Bullets history on May 8, 1994, off former MLB pitcher Oil Can Boyd.
McAnany, who graduated from CSUN 1987, later transitioned into coaching high-level youth sports, serving as a coach for organizations like the LA Heat Girls' Baseball program and working as a high school varsity softball assistant coach.
