Randal Rollin

Randal Rollin was inducted into the CSUN Athletics Hall of Fame in 1987. A two-year letterwinner from 1979 to 1980, Rollin is a legendary former outfielder for the Matador Baseball team. 
Rollin put together one of the most dominant single seasons in program history in 1980, earning NCAA Division II All-American and CCAA Most Valuable Player honors. During his historic 1980 campaign, Rollin set seven school season records, including a .418 batting average and 24 home runs. He also contributed 105 hits, 80 runs, and a .769 slugging percentage.
Rollin's career .389 batting average still ranks fourth all-time in school history.Â
Following his stellar collegiate career, Rollin was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 15th round of the 1980 MLB Draft. He went on to play eight seasons for four different organizations in the minor leagues, blasting 138 career home runs.
From 1980 to 1987, Rollin reached the Triple-A level with the Evansville Triplets, Buffalo Bisons, and Tucson Toros.
