NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN women's basketball team completes a three-game road trip at UC Santa Barbara Wednesday night before the Matadors (11-10, 4-3 Big West) return home to face Big West leader UC Davis Saturday.

Wednesday's game will be heard on The CSUN Sports Network presented by Dignity Health with Eric Kaback's pregame show beginning at 6:55 p.m. for the 7 p.m. tip.

The Gauchos (7-12, 4-3 Big West) are the second team that CSUN will play for a second time in conference action. UCSB defeated the Matadors 74-73 Jan. 11 in Northridge to take a 48-13 all-time series lead. Drew Edelman leads UC Santa Barbara and is seventh in the Big West in scoring at a 14.6 point per game clip. She is second in the conference in rebounding (9.2) and fourth in field goal shooting (53.6). The Gauchos have the top two three-point shooters in the conference on the roster in Makala Roper (48.6%) and Sarah Bates (46.4%).

The Aggies are 17-3, 7-0 in Big West play. UCD leads UC Irvine and Cal Poly by two games and CSUN and UC Santa Barbara by three games to begin the week. The Aggies have won 17 in a row in Big West play dating back to last season. Morgan Bertsch is second in the league in field goal shooting (55.6) and third in scoring (19.4). Rachel Nagel (41.9) and Nina Bessolo (41.7) are fourth and fifth in the Big West in three-point shooting. Pele Gianotti is seventh in the conference in rebounding (5.8).

UC Davis is at Long Beach State Thursday night before heading up the 405 to face CSUN.

For the second week in a row and for the fifth time this season, CSUN junior center Channon Fluker was named Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week Jan. 29.

Fluker averaged 29.5 points and 16.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Matadors. Fluker recorded a season high 34 points and 17 rebounds in the 70-58 victory over Hawai'i Jan. 25. She made all nine second half field goal attempts to finish the game 13-of-20 from the field. It was Fluker's third 30-point effort of the season. She also grabbed 17 rebounds while adding two assists and two blocked shots against UH.

She had 25 points, 15 rebounds, an assist and a steal in the 56-47 loss to UC Irvine Jan. 27. She went 8-of-19 from the field and 9-of-12 from the charity stripe. Fluker tallied 14 of CSUN's 17 second quarter points against UCI. Entering this week's action, Fluker has recorded four straight double-doubles and has 45 for her career.Â

Fluker now has 12 career Big West Player of the Week awards, moving her within one of tying the all-time Big West record. New Mexico State's Anita Maxwell (1992-96) is the leader with 13.
