10/26/2020 11:58:00 AM | Softball
NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—CSUN head softball coach Tairia Flowers has announced her resignation to accept the head coaching position at Loyola Marymount.
"We appreciate the commitment Coach Flowers has given to our student-athletes, university and community over the last 10 seasons," said CSUN Director of Athletics Mike Izzi. "We wish her the best as she embarks on this new chapter of her life and career. She leaves the program in a good place where I believe we will attract a strong, diverse applicant pool for the head coach position."
Flowers leaves the Matadors' program with a 259-263 record. Her 259 wins are the second most in CSUN history. Flowers led the Matadors to the 2015 Big West Championship. Under her tutelage, two CSUN players earned All-American honors, 12 were named All-Region, and 37 were named All-Conference.
A national search for Flowers' replacement will begin immediately.
