ESPN3 to Feature at Least Eight CSUN Games this Season

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---The CSUN Men's Basketball team will be featured at least eight times during the Big West Conference season on ESPN3 with the possibility of more games added on the ESPN family of networks, the league office announced Tuesday.

ESPN3 will broadcast CSUN's first two home games on Jan. 1-2 against defending conference champion UC Irvine at The Matadome. The Matadors' road games at UC Davis (Jan. 8-9), Long Beach State (Jan. 15-16) and CSU Bakersfield (Feb. 26-27) will also stream live on the network.

Eight Matador games this season could also be added to broadcast schedule on either ESPNU or ESPN3. Select conference games across the Big West are chosen through a Wild Card format in which parings will be determined 21 days prior to each game. Four CSUN games including home contests against UC Davis (Feb. 6) and Hawai'i (Feb. 19) and road tilts at Cal Poly (Jan. 29) and CSU Bakersfield (Feb. 26) could be selected for airing on ESPNU. In addition, the Matadors' four home games against UC Davis (Feb. 5), Hawai'i (Feb. 20) and UC Riverside (March 5-6) are also up for selection on ESPN3.

CSUN returns to action Saturday evening for a road test against Pepperdine at 6 p.m. The game will stream live on the WCC Network while Ghizal Hasan and Alan Zinsmeister are on the call in an audio broadcast at GoMatadors.com/Radio.
