Alan Zinsmeister enters his 20th season as a color analyst for CSUN men’s and women’s basketball in 2022-23. Broadcasting has always been a passion for Zinsmeister, who is a retired insurance agent.
Zinsmeister began his broadcasting career with the Matadors in 2003, when an opportunity to fill in on a broadcast developed into a season-long position. He's worked with the team ever since.
Most important to Zinsmeister are his faith, his wife and his family, and he considers the CSUN Athletics program his extended family.
Zinsmeister and his wife Kim reside in Carson, Calif.
