"Today the NCAA released a North Carolina State infractions case decision which relates to Coach Mark Gottfried's tenure at NC State. CSUN is reviewing it now.
Coach Gottfried remains on administrative leave as CSUN completes a separate, unrelated internal investigation of potential rules violations within our men's basketball program. CSUN is committed to ensuring compliance with all university and NCAA rules and regulations while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and institutional responsibility. Because the investigation is ongoing, we cannot provide any details or comment further on any personnel issues.
As interim coach Trent Johnson leads our men's basketball team through the 2021/22 season, CSUN will remain focused on the well-being and success of our student athletes, which is our highest priority."
