"I felt like we came out a little flat and could have been a little sharper mentally tonight. We played hard in the third set and if we can replicate that effort tomorrow night we'll give ourselves a chance. Every night is a learning process and tonight we started slow and got a little better each set. We're going to regroup and get ready to go on Saturday."
SET 1

A DeWeese kill cut the lead to one (14-13) when a 5-0 UCSD run boosted the lead back to six at 19-13. A Triton hitting error pulled CSUN within four at 19-15 but the Matadors would get no closer, falling 25-18. Â
