CSUN Heads To UCLA For Monday Night Match

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN men's soccer teams heads down the 405 Monday night when the Matadors travel to UCLA for a 7 p.m. start against the Bruins. The game will be streamed on Pac12.com/live. All links for the match will be available on GoMatadors.com.

The Bruins improved to 2-1 on the year as UCLA took advantage of a UC Irvine own goal to defeat the Anteaters 1-0 Friday night in Irvine. Tommy Silva scored the game winner in the Bruins wins against San Francisco. Justin Garces has played every minute in goal for UCLA and has made five saves.

This is the 25th meeting between CSUN and UCLA with the Bruins leading the all-time series 18-3-3. UCLA defeated the Matadors 4-2 in Northridge in the last match between the clubs in 2019.

The Matadors fell to 0-3 when Utah Valley defeated CSUN 5-1 Sept. 2 in Orem, Utah. Edison Palos had the lone CSUN goal in front of a crowd of 2,359. Cooper Wenzel made three saves in his first start of the season.
