CSUN Softball Signs Makenzi Padilla to National Letter of Intent

NORTHRIDGE, CALIF. - CSUN head softball coach Charlotte Morgan has announced the signing of Makenzi Padilla to a National Letter of Intent to continue her softball playing career with the Matadors.

"Makenzi is going to bring so much athleticism to our program and we can't wait to see what she can do," said Morgan. "She is athletic and strong, she has a high softball IQ and she works well behind the plate and on the field. We are excited to have both her and her sister, Maddie together. We preach family in our program and that is always number one to us. Makenzi is going to do great things for our program in her four years here."

Played catcher, second base and outfield for the Warriors at Queen Creek High School in Queen Creek, Ariz.
Earned first team all-league accolades playing for coach Ann Pierson.
Posted a .922 fielding percentage during the 2023 season.
Hit .261 with one homerun and had a .348 slugging percentage.
Posted 16 RBI while scoring 11 runs for the Bulldogs.
Boasts a 3.2 grade point average in the classroom.
Also played for the Arizona Storm National Mathis 18U travel team.

Padilla joins Larissa Flores and Rhea Furtado in CSUN softball's class of 2025.
