NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN Men's Basketball led from nearly start to finish in a 98-50 victory over Nobel University on Wednesday evening at Premier America Credit Union Arena. Four Matadors scored in double figures led by the tandem of PJ Fuller II and Marcus Adams Jr. with 15 points apiece. Grady Lewis added 14 points and six rebounds while Keonte Jones flirted with a triple-double, totaling 13 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
CSUN would trail 3-2 a little over a minute into the game before storming in front with a 9-0 run after threes from Adams and Fuller. The Matadors continued to lean on the long ball, making five of their first six as Fuller added two more treys and Tyler Beard contributed one of his own for an early 17-5 lead with 13:59 on the clock. A minute later, the lead grew to 25-7 on another three, this time from Sabien Cain off a feed from Beard. CSUN would spread the wealth throughout the first half with Judson Martindale converting on a layup at the 12-minute mark and Festus Ndumanya scoring on back-to-back baskets in the paint. Later in the half, CSUN stretched its lead to 41-18 on a three from Jalen Barbee. The half though was highlighted by a big slam dunk from Jones in transition that got the Matador faithful to their feet. CSUN took a 53-27 lead into halftime after a late three from Adams to beat the halftime buzzer.

The Matadors kept pouring it on to start the second half with Jones beginning the half on a dunk off an assist from Lewis. After a Mahmoud Fofana basket, Jones hit another three and later picked up a steal and a dunk in transition to help spearhead an 11-0 run out of intermission. Adams knocked down another three to push the lead past 40 points at 76-35. Nobel chipped away at the big deficit, pulling to within 78-43 near the midway point of the second half, but the Matadors countered with an 18-0 run over the next six minutes, which was capped by a Martindale dunk. CSUN led by as many as 53 points late in the period en route to picking up its second-straight victory.

NOTES OF THE GAME
ACCORDING TO COACH ANDY NEWMAN
"This was a good game for us to get those home jitters out, and it was fun to see our guys get out there, play hard and play for each other. Obviously, this was a game where everybody gets a shot to show what they've got, so it was really fun that everybody got to do that."
