NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – CSUN Men's Basketball honored campus faculty and staff members as part of CSUN Athletics' MVP (Most Valuable Professor) Program during the Matadors' Feb. 26 Big West game against UC Irvine at Premier America Credit Union Arena.
"CSUN student-athletes continue to achieve at a high level thanks to the support of CSUN faculty and staff," said Ryan Swartwood, CSUN's Director of Athletics. "The MVP games are an important opportunity for our Athletics Department to bring our campus community together, recognize those contributions, and thank the individuals who make a lasting impact on our student-athletes."
As part of the MVP experience, honorees were invited to pregame hospitality and a special chalk talk with Matador head coach Andy Newman before being recognized during the game. The group also took part in a photo on center court prior to tip-off.
During the MVP recognition, CSUN men's basketball student-athletes selected faculty and staff members who have made a meaningful impact on their academic and personal journeys.
