CSUN Softball Welcomes New Assistant Coach Juju Jimenez for 2026 Campaign

NORTHRIDGE, Calif --- Head coach Jodie Cox has officially announced the hiring of Juju Jimenez for the 2026Â season. Jimenez joins the CSUN family after spending the 2025 season as an assistant coach for the North Dakota State University softball program

"With an incredible playing career behind her, she will bring that same energy, passion, and leadership to this side of the game as a coach." Cox said. "Juju has been highly recommended for her softball knowledge and her character. She will undoubtedly elevate Matador softball immediately. I can't wait for her to get on campus and get to work."Â

Jimenez joined NDSU after wrapping up her playing career at the University of Utah in 2024.
Jimenez was a two-time NFCA All-Region selection and two-time All-Pac 12 honoree at Utah after transferring to the Utes from the University of Michigan, where she was also an All-Big Ten performer.  Â

In a five-year career, the Fontana, California native started 235 games at Michigan and Utah, primarily as an infielder. Jimenez had a careering .290 batting average with a .356 on-base percentage and a .490 slugging percentage.

Out of 206 career hits, Jimenez had 78 extra-base hits, including 44 doubles, four triples and 30 home runs. She finished with 170 career RBI and 102 runs scored. Defensively, she finished with 277 career putouts and 278 assists.  Â

Jimenez graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah in Family, Community and Human Development in 2024.

"I cannot be more thrilled to be here on staff at CSUN." Jimenez said. "I am in such awe of God's glory through this whole process and being in my home state to coach is such a blessing. I am so excited to get on the field and continue giving back to the game while being a great mentor for the girls. Serving this program, staff, school, and community is nothing short of a privilege. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity."
