NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---A trio CSUN Baseball standouts collected All-Big West accolades on Tuesday, as announced by the league's office. Senior Roberto Gonzalez and freshman Kyle Panganiban were placed on the All-Big West Second Team while freshman Andrew Becker earned an Honorable Mention.

A native of Imperial, Gonzalez had a banner senior season as the Matadors' leadoff man. After playing in just 26 games last season, Gonzalez started 44 of 45 games mostly in center field with time also spent in right field, second base and shortstop. Gonzalez finished the regular season leading the Big West in batting average (.371), OPS (1.095) and triples (8) along with ranking third in on-base percentage (.478) and fifth in slugging percentage (.517). He would lead the Matadors with 39 runs scored while finishing second in hits (62), RBI (30), walks (21) and stolen bases (9) and fourth in home runs (5). Gonzalez also made CSUN history this season, setting a new Division I school record with his eight triples.
Gonzalez was a constant on the base paths all year, reaching base in 42 of 45 games including in 20 in a row during the late portion of the season. He would also have an impressive Big West season where he slashed .393/.468/.682 to go with five homers and 22 RBI. His All-Big West Second Team selection is the first of his career.

After redshirting a year ago, Panganiban made a splash as CSUN's No. 2 hitter and starting second baseman. He was the only Matador to start and play in all 49 games this season where he led the team with 63 hits, 15 doubles and 10 stolen bases. His hit total was the most by a Matador freshman since the 1997 season while he batted .313 at the plate overall. Panganiban also collected 38 runs, 29 RBI and five home runs. The Cerritos native had 16 multiple-hit games and had a season-high 14-game hit streak late in the season.
In Big West play, Panganiban improved his batting average to .328 as he hit safely in 24 of 30 league games. He also racked up 12 doubles and his five homers against conference competition.

Originally from Solana Beach, Becker was the Matadors' primary No. 3 hitter most of the season. As a true freshman, Becker started 44 of 47 games, mostly in left field with time also spent at designated hitter. He led the Matadors in RBI with 31 while he was second on the team in doubles (12) and third in batting average (.324), hits (59), runs scored (33) and walks (16). Becker was also a perfect 7-for-7 in stolen base attempts on the year. Overall, Becker was the Matador leader with 19 multiple-hit games and 10 multiple-RBI games.
Becker hit safely in 25 of 30 Big West games, ultimately, hitting .351 at the plate with 10 doubles and 19 RBI against conference foes.
Both Panganiban and Becker are the first Matador freshmen to earn All-Big West honors since Jerry Keel in 2012.
