CSUN Men’s Soccer Announces 2025 Schedule

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN head men's soccer coach Terry Davila has announced the Matadors' 2025 schedule featuring four NCAA tournament teams. CSUN has 17 matches on the 2025 regular season schedule including eight matches at Matador Field, beginning with the home opener against Seattle University on September 4.
CSUN will open the season with two exhibition matches, hosting San Diego in Northridge on August 9 at 6:00 p.m. before hitting the road to take on UCLA on August 15. The Matadors will then officially open their season in Tulsa when they take on Tulsa (August 21) and Oral Roberts (August 24) before playing one last exhibition match against Biola in Northridge on August 30.
The home opener for the Matadors is set to take place on September 4 versus Seattle University. CSUN will then make a trip up north to San José to take on San José State on September 11. The Spartans finished last season with a 6-8-7 record. CSUN will then continue its road trip when it takes on Pacific in Stockton on September 14.
The Matadors return home for a two-match non-conference homestand in the middle of the month. CSUN takes on LMU on September 18, and UNLV on September 21 with both matches starting at 7:00 p.m. After the two-game homestand, the Matadors will head to Phoenix to take on Grand Canyon University for its final non-conference bout on September 26. It will be the first meeting against the Antelopes since 2017, when CSUN won on the road, 4-2.
Big West play will then kick-off on Oct. 1 as CSUN takes on UC Riverside at UCR Soccer Stadium at 7:00 p.m. Two out of the next three matches will be played in Northridge as conference play continues against Cal State Bakersfield on October 4, and Sacramento State on October 8. Both those games will kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
The Big West schedule continues into October and November as the Matadors hit the road against UC Davis (Oct. 11) and UC Irvine (Oct. 15). In their penultimate homestand, CSUN will take on UCSD (Oct. 18) and Fullerton (Oct. 22).
For the last road contest of the regular season, the Matadors will head to Cal Poly to take on the Mustangs (Oct. 26). At last, CSUN will close out the year at home against UCSB on November 1 at 7 p.m.
The 2025 Big West Championship kicks off on November 5 with first round matchups. The tournament continues on November 8 with semifinals matches before the championship match on November 15.
