7/8/2025 11:14:00 AM | Men's Basketball
NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN head men's basketball coach Andy Newman has announced the signings of seven recruits for the 2025-26 season.
Â
The Matadors have added five Division I transfers along with two junior college standouts to the roster. Joining CSUN this season will be Jay Chisolm (USC Salkehatchie), Josiah Davis (Niagara University), Larry Hughes II (St. Louis University), Davius Loury (John A. Logan College), Joshua O'Garro (Texas State), Aleks Szymczyk (Charlotte) and Quinton Webb (New Mexico).
Â
"I think our staff did a really good job of recruiting a lot of talented student-athletes who fit perfectly into the style we like to play," said Newman. "As college basketball continues to evolve, these bigger recruiting classes are going to continue, and every year, we're going to be asked to add seven to eight recruits. In the recruiting piece, that element of our job is going to increase and become more important. So, I think our staff did a good job of recruiting a class that will fit our style of playing fast, scoring at all three levels and rebounding the basketball."
