NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - CSUN women's volleyball head coach Aquiles Montoya has announced the addition of Fallyn Blotzer to continue her collegiate career with the Matadors.
Blotzer, a 6-1 outside hitter originally from Corona, Calif., comes to Northridge after spending her freshman season (2025) season at the University of Cincinnati. During her lone season with the Bearcats, she played in three matches as Cincinnati finished the season with a 15-13 overall record. Blotzer saw action against Michigan (Aug. 31), Ball State (Sept. 18), and Texas Tech (Nov. 14) during the 2025 season.
"Fallyn brings in exceptional experience and intensity that Matador fans won't want to miss," said Montoya. "She was a highly sought-after recruit on the club scene, playing up for her age on some of the best club teams in the nation. She is excited to be closer to home, and her desire to come in the spring to compete with our roster will increase the chances for her to immediately gel before an exciting Fall season in 2026."
Blotzer was a standout at Santiago High School in Corona, Calif., where she set a program record for most kills by a freshman. She also earned First Team all-league honors every season and was named Offensive Player of the Year and MVP twice. Blotzer led her team in kills, kills per set, aces, and digs across multiple seasons. In addition to leading her team to the No. 1 ranking in California, she was recognized as the No. 1 overall player in the state for the Class of 2025.Â

She was also a standout for Coast Volleyball Club in San Diego.

"I am extremely grateful to be able to work with Fallyn, as I was lucky enough to coach her sister Ashlyn at Portland State during one of our best years," added Montoya. "Losing graduating seniors like Leah Miller and Amaris Smith on the pin, we are glad to add Fallyn to this experienced roster that is determined to exceed the progress we made as a program last year."
