
Ogden, Turgeon Named to Academic All-District Team

2025 Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Teams
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. -Â CSUNÂ Women's Volleyball had a pair of student-athletes, Hayley Ogden and Tatiana Turgeon, earn Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday (Dec. 16) for their accomplishments on the court and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic Awards Program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on and off the court each year. The academic qualifications for the distinction are a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average. Nominated student-athletes must be a sophomore academically and must have participated in at least 90 percent of the team's games this season or started 66 percent of the time.
In her first season, Ogden also finished the year by earning All-Big West Honorable Mention accolades. The sophomore transfer from Gonzaga finished her first CSUN season ranked fourth in the Big West in hitting at .344. She finished the regular season with 229 kills on 480 swings while ranking third on the team with 79 total blocks. A business management major, she emerged as a key contributor on both sides of the ball, showcasing her versatility and impact for the Matadors.
Turgeon, a three-year letterwinner for the Matadors, earned the CSC All-Academic honor for the second straight year. She finished her junior season ranked second on the Matadors in total blocks (92) and solo blocks (17) while hitting a season career-high .316. A graduate student earning her master's in kinesiology, she also added a career-high nine aces while posting 92 kills and just 25 errors on 212 attacks during her junior season.
College Sports Communicators began the distinguished Academic All-America program in 1952, and has since honored more than 38,000 deserving student-athletes from numerous sports across all divisions with these elite Academic All-America scholar-athletes honors.
