CSUN Men's and Women's Cross Country Team Earn All-Academic Honors

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN's Men's and Women's Cross Country teams were placed on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Teams for the 2025 NCAA Division I season on Thursday, Jan 29.
Both Matador teams received the All-Academic distinction for the fourth season since 2021 under head coach Justin Johnson. To qualify for the All-Academic award, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
The CSUN men's team garnered a 3.43 GPA this season, while the CSUN women's team achieved a 3.38 GPA.
Earlier this month, nine Matadors received Big West All-Academic honors as well. Thomas Achten, Cesar Cuevas Darrick Jacob, Jr,. Ramiro Mateos, Diego Rodriguez and Camilo Torres made it from the men's team. Sakura Divecchio, Savannah Ganter, as well as Ami Jacobson represented the women's team.
