CORVALIS, Ore. - CSUN Men's Golf fired its low two rounds of the season as the Matadors are tied for sixth through two rounds of the Oregon State Invitational on Monday at Trysting Tree Golf Course.

CSUN opened play on Monday with a 1-under 283 before carding a season-low 4-under 280 in the afternoon round. With a two-round total of 6-under 563, the Matadors are tied for sixth in the 12-team field. Eastern Washington (11-under 557) carries a one-shot lead over Oregon (10-under 558) into Tuesday's final round, while Oregon State's Davis Hartwell is the individual leader at 8-under 134.

Junior Bryson Barnes is CSUN's low player through 36 holes, tying for 12th at 3-under 139. Barnes opened with a 1-under 71 in the morning round before finishing round two at 2-under 69. Barnes had nine birdies on the day, four in round one and five in round two. He was 3-under after 11 holes in round one before 2-over on his seven holes.

Also for the Matadors, Freddie Carcamo is one shot back of Barnes at 2-under 140. Carcamo had an eagle and three birdies in a 2-under 69 in round one before adding three more birdies in an even-par 71 in round two.
Senior Ethan Posthumus made it three Matadors in the top 20 after finishing round one at even-par 71 and round two at 2-under 69. Posthumus' second round included two birdies and 16 pars.
Senior Liam Judkins is tied for 40th at 2-over 144 following rounds of 73-71.
Junior Tavin Boman rounded out the CSUN lineup and is tied for 54th at 4-over 146 following rounds of 74-72.
Senior Dillon Jonke , competing as an individual, is tied for 47th at 3-over 145 following rounds of 73-72.

CSUN will be paired with Utah State, Cal State Fullerton, and Boise State for Tuesday's final round, which gets underway with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
