Appeared in 32 games and made 11 starts in his second season at CSUN ... in a mostly reserve role, finished third on the team with an average of 10.6 points per game ... also improved his rebounding average from his freshman year and pulled down 3.0 boards per night in 2014-15 ... set a new career high with 29 points off the bench in a win over UC Riverside (2/28/15) on Senior Night ... against the Highlanders, established new CSUN and Big West Conference records with 19 free throws made in 23 attempts ... also had a career high with six assists against UCR ... set a new career high with nine rebounds in a win over Bethesda University (2/17/15) ... improved from last season by recording more shots made (93-of-261), 3-pointers made (12-of-48), free throws made (140-of-181), rebounds (96), assists (58) and blocks (10) ... scored in double figures 15 times for the Matadors.
2013-14 Season (Freshman)
The freshman showed his potential with a career-high 19 points (4-for-8 from the floor, 3--for-3 from behind the arc) in CSUN’s 79-78 victory over Hawai’i (1/11/14) ... A freshman who gobbled up quality minutes (18.5 mpg) in 2013-14 ... Played in all 35 games with one start against La Sierra (12/1/13) ... Averaged 6.6 ppg ... Scored in double figures in ten games ... Scored 17 points (7-for-8 from the free throw line) at Central Michigan (11/23/13) ... Scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three assists off the bench vs Southern Utah (!2/3/313) ... Scored 14 points (7-for-9 from the free throw line) in 17 minutes at UC Irvine (1/23/14) ... Grabbed a season-high six rebounds against Morgan State (12/27/13) ... Tallied a season-high five assists against UC Davis (1/9/14) ... High School
Prepped during his senior season at Notre Dame Prep in Baltimore, MD … Played two seasons (junior and senior seasons) at Lake Clifton High School (Baltimore, MD) where he led the Lakers (23-3) to the 2012 Class 2A Maryland state championship … A team captain who scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds against Largo High School in the state championship contest … Because of his outstanding play in leading Lake Clifton High School to the state championship, Parks garnered state MVP championship tournament honors, all-state accolades, and All-Metro distinction by the Baltimore Sun … At the National Prep Showcase in Connecticut, Parks displayed his basketball talents against top competition that included 22 points and three steals in one contest, and 18 points and four assists in a winning effort … At an All-Star game in Washington D.C. featuring many of the top players in the state, Parks scored 17 points … He was also named MVP of the Basketball Academy in 2012 … For his efforts, Parks gained numerous post-season honors … After graduating form Lake Clifton in 2012, Parks moved to Notre Dame Prep (Fitchburg, Ma) for a post-graduate year where he was able to display his talents at the point and shooting guard positions ... At Lake Clifton, Parks played all four positions despite his 6-foot-3 frame … At Notre Dame Prep, Parks averaged 17 points, five assists and four rebounds per game … His efforts were recognized by Hoops Dreams that named him the 30th ranked prep player in the nation … Winning state championships has proven to be a common theme for Parks … In 2012 as a student-athlete at Dunbar High School (Baltimore, MD), Parks helped the team to the state title … In addition to leading Dunbar to a championship season as a sophomore, Parks also played football (right end) and competed in cross country.
