Travis Magorien appeared in all 27 matches and 96 sets as a junior ... was one of three Matadors (Greg Faulkner, Bradley Sakaida) to appear in all 27 matches ... led CSUN with 929 assists and heads into his final season with 2,066 career assists which ranks eighth in Matador history ... with 929 assists, ranks 10th in CSUN Rally Scoring era for a single season ... finished second on the Matadors with 20 aces and now has 46 career service aces ...also finished his junior season with 117 digs (1.22 dps), 49 blocks(0.51 bps) and 37 kills (0.39 kps) ... ranked ninth in the MPSF in assists while leading the CSUN hitters to a .235 hitting percentage... handed out a career-high 58 assists in the Matadors' 3-2 upset win over No. 9 UCLA (Apr. 3) which was one of four matches he eclipsed 50 assists ... had one of the Matadors' two double-doubles on the season by posting 21 assists and a season-high 10 digs at No. 7 UC Santa Barbara ... set a new career-high with four aces against both No. 4 USC (Jan. 24) and Pacific (Jan. 31) ... has now appeared in 76 matches and 250 sets in his CSUN career.Â
CSUN -Â 2013 (Sophomore)
Magorien appeared in 24 matches and 92 sets as a sophomore ...started 23 times as the Matador setter ... led the team with 844 assists (9.17 aps) which ranked 12th in the MPSF ... also ranked15th in the conference with a CSUN high 22 aces (0.24 saps) ... led the Matador hitters to a combined .262 team hitting percentage which was eighth-best among 13 MPSF teams ... wound up fourth on the team with 53 blocks (0.58 bps) and was fifth with 84 digs (0.91dps) ... also added 24 kills while hitting .208 on 53 setter attacks ... had a season-high 48 assists in the Matadors' five-set win over fifth-ranked Pepperdine (Feb. 8) and had 45 assists on three other occasions ... notched his first career double-double with 45 assists and a career-high 10 digs at Pacific (Mar. 30) ...served a career-high three aces against UCSB (Jan. 11), Concordia(Jan. 16) and at UC San Diego (Jan. 25) ... posted a career-high six blocks in a straight-set win over Grand Canyon (Jan. 18).
CSUN - 2012 (Freshman)Â
Magorien appeared in 24 matches, earning five starts at setter asa true freshman ... finished his first season with 293 assists (4.73 apg) to go with 37 digs (0.60 dpg), 19 blocks (0.31 bpg) and four aces ... also added nine kills in 23 attempts ... led the Matadors to a five-set win over No. 8 Long Beach State (Jan. 20) in the second start of his collegiate career ... handed out a season-high 50 assists against the 49ers while CSUN hit .255 as a team ... also had a season-high eight digs in the win ... came off the bench to record 49 assists, seven digs and two aces as the Matadors nearly pulled off a five-set upset win at No. 5 Stanford (Apr. 7) ... posted 37 assists in his first collegiate start at UC Santa Barbara (Jan. 6) and dished out 36 assists at No. 4 BYU (Mar.30) ... made an appearance in the Matadors' final 16 matches of the season.
WESTLAKE HIGH SCHOOL
Magorien was a three-time letter winner at Westlake High School in Westlake Village, Calif. ... was an All-American as well asa Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection as a senior in 2011 ... also earned Ventura County Star Player of the Year honors in addition to Marmonte League MVP ... was a first team All-CIF and first team All-State selection in both 2010 and 2011 ... the Warriors won the 2009 state championship and won Marmonte League titles in 2009, 2010 and 2011... played for his dad from 2009-11 ... won the silver medal at the 2011 Junior Olympics ... graduated in 2011 with a 3.0 grade point average.
