Valdez spent her freshman season at Oregon State. With the Beavers, she played 10 games and scored five runs.
PERSONAL
Graduated from Redwood High School where she played varsity softball all four years… .335 average including .433 in her senior year with 42 hits. She had 247 putouts and 104 assists for an .882 fielding rate. Some awards received: EYL MVP 2024, First Team EYL 2023, and Medium School play of the year 2024.Â
Parents are Gabriela Herrera, Adrian Parra, and Francisco Valdez. Has two brothers Francisco and Elijah and three sisters are Sophia, Zoe, and Avah. Her cousin Haileigh Gonzalez played softball here at CSUN as well. Her favorite team are the LA Dodgers.. favorite athlete is Mookie Betts.. favorite artist is The Weeknd. Her greatest sports moment is hitting her first home run. Says her jersey number (9) is a family number. Her advice to young people is to keep your head up and keep pushing. Her greatest hero is her mom.Â
