Danielle Kobata joined the CSUN Sports Medicine staff in Spring of 2023 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Kobata, who works primarily with the Matador softball program, was promoted to Associate Athletic Trainer in December, 2023.
Prior to joining the CSUN Sports Medicine staff, Kobata was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Valley City State University, a NAIA school in Valley City, N.D. She primarily worked with the women’s volleyball and men’s basketball programs.
Kobata earned her master's degree at Fresno State University in kinesiology with an emphasis on sports psychology. While attending graduate school, she was a Graduate Assistant working primarily with the Bulldogs football program.
Kobata earned her bachelor of science degree in athletic training from San Diego State University in 2018. She has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association since 2016 and has been a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer since 2018.
Kobata resides in Chatsworth with her cat, Abby. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, going to the beach, paddleboarding, and crocheting.
