2021-22 (FRESHMAN): Was 12th in Division I in steals per game (2.87)...finished season 59th in Division I in steals (66)...appeared in 23 games and averaged 6.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game...shot 44.1% from the field (57-of-129)...shot 75% from the free throw line (36-48)...posted 23 assists.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2021 graduate of Paloma Valley High School…named Press Enterprise Inland Girls Athlete of the Week June 8, 2021, after averaging 17.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 7.5 steals in a pair of PVHS wins in the CIF Southern Section 2A Tournament…scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the CIF-SS Division 2A championship game loss to Eisenhower High School…averaged 16.6 points and 10.1 rebounds as a senior…chosen first team CalHiSports.com Division 3 All-State and to the All-CIF Southern Section team as a senior…selected to the Press Enterprise All-Area and first team All-Section as a junior as team (34-3) won the CIF-SS Division 4AA and CIF State Division III championships…averaged 18.0 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 5.6 steals in 107 prep games…also participated in cross country and track and field...graduated with a 4.25 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Russell and Dorothy Johnson…a journalism major...favorites include Theo James, Avatar the Last Airbender, Divergent: Series & My Annoying Brother, Kimchi Bulgogi Fries, EXO & Red Velvet, and Byun Baekhyun…chose CSUN for the basketball and academic programs…says the best thing about being an athlete is the competition, teamwork, and connecting with others…says the worst thing about being an athlete is tending to her emotional and mental health…the best athlete she has played against is Ari Long…the most famous person she has met is the late Kobe Bryant…the person in history she would like to meet the most is Susan Glaspell…the two people she would like to have dinner with are Kim Jongin (Kai) and Zendaya…her advice to young people is to grow, you must make mistakes…her heroes are her parents who she says are always there when she needs them and have provided a great life and great role models on how to live…says she wouldn’t be here without them.
