Li-Uperesa made 30 appearances and started 28 times on the season ... ranked second on the team in rebounds per game at 5.0 ... averaged 7.9 points in 30.9 minutes per game ... led the team with 33 blocks and a .427 field goal percentage (85-of-199) while she was tied for second in steals with 39 ... ranked fourth in the Big West in blocks per game (1.1) and tied for 15th in rebounds per game ... scored in double figures in eight games ... scored 14 points and added six rebounds in a win over Seattle U (11/9/23) ... recorded a season-high 18 points to go with six rebounds and three blocks vs. LMU (12/21/23) ... finished with 15 points and seven rebounds at Cal State Fullerton (1/13/24) ... closed the season by tying her season high in points with 18 vs. Hawai'i (3/7/24).
PRIOR TO CSUN
A women’s basketball team member at the City College of San Francisco from 2021-23 … led the Rams, the No. 6 seed, to the third round of the 2023 CCCAA Round 3 of the Northern California Regional Playoffs after winning the Coast Conference North Division title for the seventh consecutive season … averaged a league-leading 20.6 points and 8.1 rebounds in 29 games (starting 27 times) on her way to being named Coast Conference North Division MVP for the second straight season … shot 57.7% from the field and 72.1% from the free throw line…appeared in 21 games during the 2019-20 season, starting 19 times … averaged 15.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game during the 2021-22 campaign and was chosen second-team All-State by the California Community College Women's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCWBCA) … began collegiate career at Cal State East Bay where she redshirted the 2019-20 season with the Pioneers.

A 2019 graduate of Sacred Heart Cathedral High School … named 2018 SF Gate San Francisco Regional Player of the Year after leading the team to the Northern California Division 1 championship … team was the state runner-up … chosen first-team All-West Catholic Athletic League after averaging 13.3 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game … earned first-team All-League honors as a senior and second-team All-League as a sophomore … selected SF Examiner honorable mention All-City as a senior … named school Athlete of the Year as a junior and senior.

Daughter of PJ and Jennifer Uperesa … favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant, Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, Grey’s Anatomy, The Five Heartbeats, Spaghetti, Fettuccine, Silk Sonic, and Spawnbreezie … chose CSUN because they are very culturally diverse, it reminds her of home, and CSUN has a great faculty support system … says her greatest sports moment so far is going to the State Championships and playing at the Golden One Center and having her grandpa there to watch it … says the best thing about being an athlete is having fun playing the game you love, meeting new people and building friendships … says the toughest thing about being an athlete is managing time and balancing out your life … says the best athlete she has played against is Ilmari Thomas … the most famous person she has met is Matt Barnes … the person in history she would like to meet is John F. Kennedy … would like to switch places for one day with Bill Gates … the best advice she has been given is keep God first … her advice to young people is to listen to your mom and keep your priorities in order … says the toughest obstacle she has overcome is recovering from a torn ACL … says her greatest hero is her mom because she has been always there for my immediate and extended family, no matter what, she is constantly teaching her siblings and me, by making sure that we are prepared for everything in life, she is the backbone of our family, and she is constantly checking in on us.
