CSUN - 2017 (Junior)
Kristey Markle appeared in all 28 matches, starting 22 at defensive specialist ... ranked fifth on the team with 170 digs, averaging 1.60 digs per set ... led the Matadors with 41 aces, a CSUN record for a single season in the school's rally scoring era ... ranked second in the Big West behind UCI's Harlee Kekouoha who had 42 aces ... heads into her senior season with 411 career digs and 70 career aces ... also handed out 43 assists ... had double figures in digs three times, including a season-high 17 in the Matadors' 3-1 win at Cal State Fullerton (Sept. 19) ... had 10 digs and a career-high six aces in a 3-1 win over UC Santa Barbara (Sept. 29) ... served four aces against both Northeastern (Sept. 2) and UC Riverside (Nov. 11) ... earned Big West All-Academic Team honors for the second consecutive season ... was one of seven Matadors named to the all-academic team.
CSUN - 2016 (Sophomore)
Markle appeared in 26 matches and 95 sets as a sophomore ... started 13 matches at defensive specialist ... finished the season with 142 digs while averaging 1.49 digs per set ... heads into her third season with 241 career digs ... ranked third on the Matadors with 19 aces (0.20 saps) ... also recorded 16 assists and two kills ... had double figures in digs on three occasions, including a season-high 12 at Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 8) ... had at least one dig in 25 of the 26 matches in which she played ... served a career-high five aces in CSUN's 3-2 win at Utah Valley (Sept. 17) and had handed out a season-high two assists in three different matches ... was one of five Matadors named to the 2016 Big West All-Academic Team.
CSUN - 2015 (Freshman)
Markle appeared in 17 matches playing in 49 sets in her first season at CSUN ... started eight matches at libero or defensive specialist ... finished the season with 99 digs while averaging 2.02 digs per set which ranked fourth on the team ... contributed 10 aces and her aces per set average of 0.20 led the team ... also recorded 16 assists ... scooped up a season-high 27 digs and added four assists against UC Riverside (Nov. 3) ... had at least one ace in eight of the Matadors' final nine matches ... served a season-high three aces at UC Davis (Oct. 29) ... took a season-high six swings vs. Florida A&M (Sept. 4).
EL TORO HIGH SCHOOL
Markle was a four-year starter and letterwinner at El Toro High School in Lake Forest, CA ... earned first team All-Seaview League in 2013 and 2014 as an outside hitter for the Bulls ... was also named team Most Valuable Player in 2013 ... earned all-tournament honors at the Mid State Tournament ... her team finished 17-9 for coach Monty Johns ... graduated in 2015 with a 3.6 grade point average.
