Downie Tech joined the Matador Achievement Center in Fall 2016. In her role as the Senior Learning Specialist, Tech meets with a caseload of student athletes one-on-one to holistically support their academic success. She believes in a strengths-based approach when helping students develop skills to become independent and successful learners.

Tech earned he bachelor's degree in liberal studies and her master's in special education from CSUN. As a Professional Educational Therapist (ET/P), she has experience supporting neurodivergent students including students with ADHD and learning disabilities. Tech is also trained as an Academic Life Coach and enjoys guiding students to reach their personal and academic goals.
