The 49ers picked up their fourth win in the No. 5 pair as Ariana Garner and Peyton Grahovac swept Stork and Pinkney, 21-18, 21-8. The final contest of the day went to CSUN behind Haake and Leiphardt who improved to 3-8 on the season.
"Overall I thought it was a great day," said CSUN head coach Jeff Stork. "We had two different types of teams here in Concordia and Long Beach. The wind became a factor later in the day and Long Beach did a better job with the wind than we did. There were some tight sets that could have gone either way had we handled the win a little better, but t was a typical beach day as far as the weather goes."Â Â Â
CSUN heads back out on the road this weekend as the Matadors take on Cal Poly, San Francisco and Santa Clara Saturday in Santa Cruz.
