Six Matador Games Selected for ESPN3 Broadcasts

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---At least six CSUN Men's Basketball conference games will air this season on ESPN3, the Big West office announced Wednesday. Of the six games selected, four of them will be played at The Matadome while there is a potential for another home game to be added later this season on a wild card date.
The Matadors' Big West opener at UC Riverside kicks off the 37-game ESPN3 schedule this season on Jan. 9. Also in January, ESPN3 will air the Matadors' home contests with Hawai'i (Jan. 17) and Long Beach State (Jan. 23) as well as a road tilt at last season's Big West Tournament champion, Cal State Fullerton (Jan. 30).
In February, CSUN takes on reigning Big West regular season champion UC Davis at The Matadome on ESPN3 (Feb. 23). The Matadors' Senior Night contest with UC Santa Barbara on March 7 has also been selected by the network.
Along with the six games selected this season, the Matadors' home game against Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 16 is one of four games around the league that is up for airing on a wild card date. The league office determines which wild card games will be selected for airing approximately three weeks before the game date. CSUN and Cal State Fullerton is also a potential wild card game for ESPN2 and ESPNU this season.
In addition to the regular season, ESPN3 is scheduled to air the entire opening round of the Big West Conference Tournament at the Honda Center on Thursday, March 14.
