Â
Entering this weekend, the Matadors are ranked in their respective events. On the men's side Michael Merchan is fourth in the 800m (1:50.94). Daniel Swarbrick (60-0 1/2) and Erick Loomis (60-0 1/4) are eighth and ninth respectively in the weight throw. Â
The CSUN women have performances that will earn the Matadors impressive seeds going into the meet. Courtney Robinson turned in the eighth fastest time (:8.39) among MPSF athletes in the 60m hurdles during the regular season. Robinson's time is the lone Matador performance on the NCAA performance list (64th as 75 are ranked). Sydney Moslery has the 14th quickest time (8:63) in the MPSF in the event.
Â
CSUN should vie for points in the triple jump as the Matadors have four of the top 30 MPSF leaps in the event during the regular season with Ty Wallace coming in at 17th (38-5 1/2). The shot put is another event in which CSUN should contend with the Matadors posting three of the top 14 tosses during the season. Brandy Williams charted the eighth best throw (49-7 1/4) in the regular season.
