CSUN Travels To UC Riverside This Weekend

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.-- CSUN travels to UC Riverside this weekend for a three-game Big West softball series. Saturday will feature a doubleheader that is set for 1 p.m. Sunday's play also begins at 1 p.m. The live stats links for all three games will be available on GoMatadors.com.

UC Riverside is 25-15, 2-4 in Big West play beginning this week. The Highlanders were swept by league leader Long Beach State this past weekend in Long Beach.

Jenna Curtan is third in the Big West in hitting (.409), tied for second in runs scored (37), and fourth in doubles (12). Brittany Garcia is seventh in the league in RBI with 25. Sarah Parten is ninth in the league in hitting at .367.

In the circle, Taylor Misfeldt is second in the Big West in victories with 14 (14-8). UCR's other pitcher, Hailey Dolcini is sixth in the conference in victories with 10. This will be the 104th, 105th, and 106th meetings between CSUN and UC Riverside with the Matadors leading the all-time series 91-12.

CSUN (16-28, 1-5 Big West) is looking to break a six-game losing streak after being swept by Cal State Fullerton last weekend. Savannah Horvath hit .444 against the Titans (4-of-9). Kenedee Jamerson pitched in all three games of the series. She threw nine innings against Cal State Fullerton.
