Trejo Earns All-Region Honors For Second Consecutive Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—CSUN's Daniel Trejo was selected second-team United Soccer Coaches Far West Region Dec. 9. This is the second consecutive season in which Trejo was named second-team All-Region.
"This is a great recognition for Danny, for his family, for the city of Mendota, and for CSUN," said CSUN head coach Terry Davila. "We are very happy that he received this recognition. This is just the start; the sky is the limit for him in his future."
Trejo was selected Big West Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year the league announced Nov. 12. Trejo paced the conference in points with 25 points. The Mendota native tied for the league lead in goals (9) with two other players. The junior forward tied with two other players for third in the Big West in assists (7). Trejo is the first CSUN player to earn Big West Offensive Player of the Year since 2003-04 when Willie Sims won the award in back-to-back seasons.
The Big West's active career leader in goals (26) and points (67), Trejo was also selected first-team All-Conference for the second year in a row.
